The smallest car in Audi’s lineup, the Audi TT (Tourist Trophy), started its life back in 1998 after being previewed by a first concept car in 1995. The second generation TT was then unveiled 8 years later - in 2006 - and was still offered in both coupe and roadster versions. Now, we hear that the third generation Audi TT will be unveiled in 2014, following the eight year pattern set by the first and second generations. This generation will debut as a coupe version with a roadster set to follow a few months later.

The current Audi TT is being built on the Volkswagen’s PQ35 platform – which offers a front engine chassis and front or all wheel drive powertrain, but for the next TT things are going to change a lot.The Audi TT will be built on an entirely new platform, that will offer a mid-engine configuration. This will help improve both balance and handling.Under the hood Audi will place the conventional 1.4 liter TSI engine with 186 HP and a 2.0 TDI engine with 170 HP. For the top version model, the TT-RS, expect to see a 350 HP 2.5 five-cylinder engine.

We expect some big changes to occur with the third generation Audi TT. Mainly, we expect to see a sportier and aggressive design language inspired by the latest E-tron concept car. Of course, Audi will want to make a differentiate between the TT and the future R4 (or R5 as it is lately rumored to be called), but we still expect to see a new front grille, new headlamps with LED light, and a modified rear.

Audi Q3 RS

While not even sure if there really ever an RS Q5 will be Audi’s boss Rupert Stadler has said that is the youngest member in the Audi family gets an RS badge.

Under the hood of the RS Q3 is no blown V6 or V8 Spielerei lie. No, it’s the acclaimed 2.5-liter five-cylinder from the TT-RS and RS3 , which may provide the necessary horsepower to make. Quite logical, and if we in AM & S to be believed, the ability to reach 300 hp. Forty horsepower less than in the aforementioned RS cars.

Q3 If the RS is coming it is of course wait for the answer in the form of a BMW X1 M version. Yep, you read that correctly. / / / M logos and a blown turbo six-cylinder for the city mothers with haste, and according to the rumor mill comes, “he happening.

And that RS Q3 we could recognize a fierce look with wide fenders, rims and bling-ditto mirror? Nope, it’s not in the planning for this RS’je. There is just a special paint finish is available for the top model of the Q3. Actually this is a RS-light.The Audi engineers are currently busy testing the 2.5-liter vijfpitter the soft roader in 2012 rolls in and out of the showrooms.

To celebrate this year’s Audi for the 10th time the 24 hours of Le Mans wins is a very tasty special design on the market.

This special version is for once not based on the R8 V10 , but just the same old R8 4.2 V8 in the back. 100 copies will be supplied and you can leave R8 include spraying with titanium in a shade effect. The 19 “wide rims are painted the same color behind it and you see bright red brake calipers ( as with the R8 GT ).

In the interior, the red regularly. We see red stitching and certain parts of the interior with red leather finish, because that obviously puts so good against that boring black leather. Fortunately, there is the option to choose a package which also includes carbon from carbon fiber side blades, and a mirror cover for the engine.

The 4.2 V8 is squeezed in the back there are still 430 Nm pk/430 and sprint in 4.6 seconds to 100 km / h. The top speed is 301 km / h. And in terms of transmission’s can choose from a 6-speed manual or R tronic. The bad news is that this particular R8 alone on that island on the other side of the North Sea will be sold.

2011 Audi Q7 TDI
Audi Q7 TDI have done a lot to change the perception that diesel vehicles are crude, stinky, black smoke-spewers, and the company's lone turbodiesel SUV gets even better for 2011. Thanks to the 406 pound-feet of torque at a low, low 1750 rpm, it takes very little throttle to accelerate or pass in traffic. Braking is precise, and the discs respond seemingly instantly to driver input. At the track, the TDI went from 0 to 60 mph in 8.6 seconds, which is about a second slower than the gas 4.2-liter V-8 we tested a couple years ago and the 2011 got through the quarter mile in 16.5 seconds at 82.

The 2011 Audi Q7 quattro has two new engines this year. The new engines are intriguing, however. Both are 3.0-liter engines. Not only does blown six make more power than the naturally-aspirated eight, Audi notes that it's some 16 percent more fuel efficient. The 2011 Audi Q7 we are reviewing is the Q7 TDI. The 3.0 TDI is the same turbodiesel V-6 as used in the recently tested 2011 Volkswagen Touareg TDI, rated at 225 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque, and like the Touareg has the same eight-speed automatic transmission. And like the Touareg, has standard all-wheel drive, although for the Q7 it Audi's proprietary quattro system.
The Audi Q7 and Volkswagen Touareg are not, however, badge-engineered corporate kin. The Audi is longer, with five more inches between the front and rear axles, and seats up to seven. The Touareg has only two rows of seats.

Audi claims 8.5 seconds for the zero-to-sixty mph dash. Standard towing capacity is 5,500lbs (with a 550 pound tongue-weight), plus there's a trailer hitch package that includes a tow bar and increased cooling capacity, increasing tow rating to 6,600lbs (with a 660 pound tongue-weight).
The EPA rating for the 2011 Audi Q7 TDI is 17 mpg city and 25 mpg highway, however we found that we were able to get 24.0 mpg with mostly highway driving, with 19.7 mpg in mixed all-around driving in cold weather and hilly terrain, both having a negative impact on fuel economy numbers.

AUDI A1

AUDI A1
AUDI A1
A1 1.6 TDI falls even further from this week as an even more fuel efficient version of the frugal premium sub-compact hatchback shrugs off road tax and the London congestion charge through a lower 99g/km CO2 output. Improved 74.3mpg economy potential, and unchanged OTR prices for the SE, Sport and S line models ranging from £14,480 to £17,865, also help to make the thriftiest A1 an even more desirable proposition.

Further optimisation of the fuel system and engine management unit has reduced the CO2 output of the A1 1.6 TDI from 105g/km to 99g/km, and boosted its official combined economy figure from 70.6mpg to 74.3mpg. As before, the achievement of these outstanding figures is aided by engine start-stop and energy recuperation systems.

The performance delivered by the turbo charged and directly injected common rail unit also remains as keen as ever. The A1 1.6 TDI with five-speed manual transmission sprints from rest to 62mph in 10.5 seconds, and where conditions allow can reach a top speed of 118mph.

The advantage held by the revised 1.6 TDI won’t only be felt at the filling station. With CO2 dipping below the 100g/km mark it is exempt from the London congestion charge, and also from Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) from year 2 onwards as the duty bandings currently stand. The majority of A1 models, including the 1.6 TDI, are already duty-free in the first year of ownership.

The A1 1.6 TDI with 99g output can be ordered in all three UK A1 trim levels – SE, Sport and S line. Features common to all include alloy wheels, remote central locking, air conditioning, electric front windows and mirrors and a six-speaker single CD audio system with auxiliary iPod connection linked to a 6.5-inch retractable display.

Project Kahn have released today the first images with their newest project, an upgrade program for the Audi TT called TR8. The whole theme of this new customization program for the TT was inspired by the car’s bigger and way more expensive “brother”, the Audi R8, hence the TR8 name.

The Project Kahn Audi TT TR8 received a new front bumper inspired by the R8, a lower front apron, new side skirts, a new rear bumper with an integrated diffuser and a discreet boot lid spoiler. The new exterior look was completed with an elegant gray and black finish and a new set of bespoke 20″ RSV light alloy wheels wrapped in new tires.

We don’t have any images of the car’s interior yet, but Project Kahn will probably continue with the same theme as the exterior inside the cockpit as well. More details about the Project Kahn Audi TT TR8 such as pricing and more images will be released by the UK tuners in the next week.

Well those photos are far from being official of the real 2012 Audi Q6, but are good enough to be discussed. Some drawings that are showing what might the future 2012 Audi Q6 look like.

With no surprise, with the success of BMW X6, Audi is now are going to develop a rival for the BMW X6. Yes, something beautiful and a bit more un-practical compared to the Q7.

There are not many details, but Audi CEO Rupert Stadler said the on German press “We can imagine a model between the Q5 and the Q7 . . . a coupe-like, four-wheel-driven model.” If approved, the crossover would feature sporty styling and ride on the same platform that underpins the Volkswagen Touareg and Porsche Cayenne.

Now words about the engines, but we can expect the ordinary 2.0TDI-e to be in the lineup for ruse, also the bulletproof 2.0TFSI. A sportier version with 4.0TFSI V8 from the future S6 could also be fitted in the Q6 and off course the mighty 3.0TDI.

Nothing for the launch date of the Q6, but don’t expect to see one of those in front of your house earlier than summer 2012 or even 2013.

Audi’s stylish A5 range is in store for a very mild facelift, with the first prototypes for the new S5 variant spotted today running laps at the famous Nurburgring circuit in Germany. Looking at the shots, one would easily think this is just a regular S5 but look more closely and several new subtle details are revealed.

We can clearly see a new set of tail lights with LED detailing similar to the units fitted to the more upscale A7 Sportback. The detailing especially becomes apparent in the image where the car’s brakes are applied. The front of the car also has some minor styling changes, noticeable in the indicator elements installed in the head lights.

What’s unclear is whether or not Audi is planning to keep its grunty 4.2-liter V-8 in the latest S5 or switch to a ‘downsized’ supercharged 3.0-liter V6 like it did with the S4. A six-speed manual should remain the standard option, though an eight-speed automatic may be offered alongside the trick dual clutch transmission on this 2012 model.

The facelifted 2012 Audi A5 range is expected to go on sale towards the end of the year, following a world debut most likely at September’s 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show. The changes will eventually make their way across the rest of the A5 range, including the S5 seen here, A5 Convertible and A5 Sportback.

2012 Audi RS3 Specs are more that terrific. The engine of the 2012 Audi RS3 is the same 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine found in the 2011 Audi TT-RS with whoaping 250 kW (340 PS / 335 hp) and 450 Nm (332 lb ft) of torque. Off course, it is connected to the Quattro all-wheel drive and a seven-speed S tronic transmission. Get this, the car accelerates from 0-62mph(0-100km/h) in just 4,6 seconds. That is the same as the 4,2 R8. Impressively, the car has average fuel consumption 9.1 liters per 100 km (25.85 US mpg) and CO2 emissions of 212 g/km.

The handling is also spot on. Audi RS3 engineers has fitted the latest creation from Germany with an aluminum intensive sport suspension with MacPherson struts up front and a four-link setup out back. A high performance braking system with ventilated disks that measure 370mm in the front and 310mm at the rear.

The design is also very aggressive as seen in the photos bellow.Inside, the cabin is outfitted with Fine Nappa leather sport seats (with silver contrasting stitching), Piano black (or Aluminum Race) trim, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, and a revised driver information system with a lap timer.

On sale early next year, the RS3 will be priced from €49,900 in Germany. Yes, that’s it more than 60k USD for a small hatch, but for it’s dynamic characteristics, the RS3 deserves that huge price tag.

The 2011 Audi S7 has been spied again during testing on the Nurburgring race track. Unfortunately, the spy images show only a heavily camouflaged 2011 Audi S7 and leave a lot of room for interpretation. However, a few design cues of the more performance oriented 2011 Audi S7 can still be distinguished through the black and white psychedelic vinyl wrap. The 2011 Audi S7 will have a more aggressive front fascia with a re-designed bumper and larger air intakes. The rear of the 2011 Audi S7 shows the meaning quad exhaust pipes.

The general proportions of the 2011 Audi S7 will stick to the Audi A7 Sportback Concept, with various modifications to make it more market friendly of course.
The 2011 Audi S7 is expected to be powered by a V8 engine developing around 500 hp, but it's top speed will probably be limited to 250 km/h.

The 2011 Audi S7 price is not known yet, but the car is expected to be premiered at the Moscow Auto Show in August.

In 20 knots of sea breeze, the Italians hit their straps in an exhilarating and tight contest to post two second places in two races, with Spanish boat Bribon beating them by less than a minute in the first race and Quantum from America running out winners by 47 seconds in the second.

"Although the fleet is smaller than last year, no one can afford to make any mistakes but we just chipped away and are really chuffed," said British trimmer Simon Fry who has been with the team since 2009.

Failure of all the electronic systems on Ran 4 made life tricky for Niklas Zennstrom's crew whose second day on the circuit proved to be frustrating with a sixth and fifth to finish sixth overall, with two days racing remaining.

"We went to put the sails up and found we had no instruments working which didn't help though we are still finding our feet," said team manager Tim Powell.

"Our crew work is good and upwind we are competitive but we need to work on our starts and downwind performances."

2012 Audi A7 3.0 TFSI
2012 Audi A7 3.0 TFSI, the subject of this week’s column, would have been considered a crazy idea. Sensible executives would have stamped it an undoable business proposition. Many consumers, more interested in performance and prestige than common sense, would have looked askance at the more pedestrian aspects of its design intent. In a global sales environment unburdened by green environmental concerns, the timing was all wrong for a car of its type.

A7, that means more power out of a smaller engine with no appreciable increase in fuel consumption. Think of it as getting V-8 horsepower out of a V-6 engine without the weight or the fuel penalty of a V-8. The reality in the A7 is a 3-liter, supercharged V-6 with direct injection and variable valve timing (310 horsepower, 325 foot-pounds of torque) that moves the car from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 5.4 seconds.

Inside is all of the stuff that traditionally defines automotive luxury as luxury — in this case, dark walnut inlays on the instrument and door panels; supple, yet anatomically contoured Valcona leather seating surfaces; every conceivable electronic infotainment device or access portal. It is all put together perfectly in a cabin so quiet, it bestows solitude upon entry.

But if life takes a turn toward the sweaty practical, the A7 (I drove the Prestige version for this report) can handle that, too. Lift the rear hatch. With all four sets in place, you have 24.5 cubic feet of storage space. Lower the rear seat backs, and you nearly double your cargo room. Finally, there is the matter of the A7’s all-wheel-drive system, which provides a 40-60, front-rear power split under normal driving conditions but constantly and rapidly varies that application of drive power on an as-needed basis in inclement weather.
