Elizabeth Taylor and Sharon, New Sharon Tate Unreleased Pictures Keep Showing Up on Ebay, A T-Shirt for "Fearless Vampire Killers", Photo Comparison of the Week: Olivia Palermo and a look at Polanski's "God of Carnage"

Elizabeth Taylor died this week at age 79.  I know she was jealous of Sharon when they filmed "The Sandpiper" and Sharon's scenes were even deleted supposedly by request from Taylor.  Taylor was also worried that Richard Burton might spot Sharon and try to flirt, so she had people on the set keep Sharon at a distance from him.

Even though that may not make Taylor sound good, actually--if you really think about it--I think she was paying Sharon a high compliment.  I mean Taylor still looked great, even though she might have felt insecure against the new starlet since Sharon was younger.  However, both women to me were great beauties.

And you must remember that over the ensuing years, Taylor made friends with Debbie Reynolds.  No one ever thought those two would get along ever but it happened.  It makes me think that if Sharon had lived longer that she and Liz might have crossed paths again and just forgotten about the whole "Sandpiper" incident.

I think Liz was the type to forget and forgive and Sharon was certainly not the type to hold any grudges.  So I personally would like to think these two could have ended up as friends.  Unfortunately, since Sharon died so young, we will never know.

RIP Elizabeth Taylor.

Ebay keeps new Sharon items coming....

Here is a new foreign t-shirt for "The Fearless Vampire Killers":

Here is our photo comparison of the week:  Olivia Palermo looks somewhat like Sharon.

Quote of the Week, Fake Photos of Sharon, Sharon as a young girl and Polanski's Newest Project

Here is a nice quote I found that comes from Sharon herself:

"A pretty face isn't really all that important.  It will open doors but that's it.  You have to have talent to back what you have going in front."--from the LA Times

Here are some more fakes being sold on ebay of Sharon every now and then so be careful!

This one is of Jerry Hall done by Terry O'Neill.

Here is a link to a great photo of young Sharon and her mother, Doris:

And Roman is working on his next film:

Kate Winslet to star in Roman Polanski's next

Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet is all set to star in controversial director Roman Polanski's film adaptation of Yasmina Reza's play 'God of Carnage'. Although set in New York, the 'Titanic' star will work on Polanski's film in Paris because the filmmaker is banned from entering America. Polanski fled the country in 1977 after he was convicted of having unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl.

The filmmaker has roped in two other Oscar-winners Jodie Foster and Christoph Waltz to play pivotal roles, reported The Independent. The second male lead is rumored to be Matt Dillon.

Reza's Tony Award-winning play tells the story of two sets of parents who meet after their sons are involved in a fight. The meeting takes a turn with attacks on each other's parenting and then assaults against the marriages.

Roman Polanski Working on 'God of Carnage' Adaptation, Says Wife

By: Leonard Jacobs

The embattled Roman Polanski may have a new project in the works: adapting and directing a film version of Yasmina Reza's Tony-winning play 'God of Carnage.'

Of course, he has vital details to work out first, such as remaining under house arrest at his Switzerland chateau and fighting extradition to the U.S. in the still-unresolved 33-year-old sex case against him.

Even from house arrest, however, Polanski is still at work as he finishes post-production on his latest film, 'The Ghost Writer,' which will have its world premiere at the 60th annual Berlin International Film Festival next month. Based on a novel by Robert Harris, 'The Ghost Writer' stars Ewan McGregor and Pierce Brosnan.

'God of Carnage,' meanwhile, has proven a worldwide hit. In Paris, it starred Isabelle Huppert; in London, it starred Ralph Fiennes. And on Broadway, the cast on opening night in March 2009 included James Gandolfini, Marcia Gay Harden, Jeff Daniels and Hope Davis. Now in its 10th month on the Great White Way, the current New York cast features Christine Lahti, Annie Potts, Jimmy Smits and Scottish actor Ken Stott.

The L.A. Times picked up on Polanski's involvement in 'God of Carnage' following an Elle magazine interview with Polanski's wife, Emmanuelle Siegner, co-star of 'The Diving Bell and the Butterfly.' Siegner offered no further details on the project, which has yet to be confirmed, officially.

Reza's play examines two sets of parents brought into contact when their respective children come into conflict. As hope for resolving their children's differences fades, the conversation between the parents devolves into accusations, insults and a raucous four-way argument, suggesting a fine line between adults and children.

Last week, a California judge ruled that Polanski could not be sentenced in absentia for slipping out of the U.S. in 1978 after pleading guilty to unlawful intercourse with a minor -- tantamount to statutory rape. Polanski's lawyers are appealing.

It looks as though Roman can't keep his mind off Sharon :)
