Respected VW tuning specialists APR and Volkswagen Coaching GmbH have combined forces to create the Golf GTI Reifnitz, a special one-off model celebrating both the iconic GTI’s 35th birthday and 30 years of Worthersee. Volkswagen applied the special paintwork, aero package, and added the new interior, which is a blend of motorsport and monster sound system. APR did its bit in the power department, adding a Stage III Turbocharger, APR Intercooler, and APR RSC Performance Exhaust which resulted in a pleasant figure of 370 PS and 480Nm of torque from the 2.0 TSI unit.
VW Coaching staff was available throughout the day to answer questions and when asked about power, a quick reach in the glove box brings a dynamometer certification chart of the power and torque delivered by APR’s Stage III Turbocharger System. In typical show fashion and by request, VW Coaching staff were starting the 2.0 TSI engine and revving for the public producing an exotic, yet reserved
exhaust note that only an APR RSC Performance Exhaust System can deliver.
